Our Story
Believe it or not, we started as teachers. One day we decided to seek a healthier work-life balance and so took a leap of faith. What began as a simple hobby of candle-making quickly evolved into a passion. Tired of candles filled with harmful ingredients with a scent that didn't carry, we discovered the beauty and strength of essential oils and the sustainability and purity of rapeseed and coconut wax. Inspired, we expanded from candle making into creating a body care range infused with essential oils, embracing a natural and holistic approach to self-care.
As part of our journey, we looked at lots of different scents and researched Aromatherapy which is how we came across Aromachology.
What is Aromachology? Well, in essence it is the science of smell.
Aromachology is a fascinating field that explores the connection between scents and human psychology. It looks at how different smells can trigger memories, emotions, and physical and behavioural responses.
Here at Aromachology Studios we love the unique perspectives on the power of scent and its impact on our lives, and so we combine this information with the approach of Aromatherapy to offer products carefully selected to promote the physiological and psychological benefits of scents.
Our products can provoke happy memories, stimulate your senses, revitalise your emotions, and some can even be used to promote healing and wellness.

What we believe...
At Aromachology Studios we have four very important principals at our core, which are at the heart of everything we do...
Quality and value for money:
We believe in making products of high quality with little to no impurities. At Aromachology Studios we work tirelessly to maintain these standards. We quality control and check each product before it is available for sale.
Our candles and wax melts are handmade by us and have a great scent throw, with little to no soot, and are sustainable and eco friendly.
Our body products and diffusers are Blended and bottled in the UK by us also.
Our Body Oils, Bath Oils and Pulse Point Rollers use only essential oils and are fully licensed and tested.
We are fully Regulated by the UK Consumer Protection Safety Requirements and we are also Registered with the Office of Product Safety & Standards​

Unlike some well known brands, we have decided to offer the benefits of our high quality products to you at reasonable prices. What is the point of having quality products if they cannot be enjoyed by everyone!
Free from:
Believing in high quality, we wanted to make products that are free from typical nasties, and those unexpected ones too! Therefore, Aromachology Studios Essential Oils candles are free from synthetic additives and our Fragrance candles use only high-quality fine fragrance oils.
All of our candles are free from:
- Paraffin as this a waste product of petroleum fuel, which creates toxic fumes that fill your rooms.
- Palm Oil as the production of this oil is a leading cause of deforestation, something that we do not want to be a part of!
- Soy wax as, believe it or not, this is both a cause of deforestation and studies show that it still produces chemicals that are not good for you.
- Beeswax as however clean and sustainable as it is, this still releases a chemical when burnt which can trigger or affect an irritation or reaction. It also means that the worker bees keep their much needed building material that they use to build cells new in their hives.

All of our products contain no artificial preservatives.
Eco-friendly
In the creation of our products, we at Aromachology Studios not only wanted a quality product that is free form nasties, but we also wanted them to be eco friendly, ethical and sustainable.
Therefore our products are made using only ingredients that are:
- Vegan Friendly derived only from natural sources like plants and their products.
- Not Tested on Animals as ethically speaking it is wrong to cause harm to another living creature, or use products which utilise such means.
- Ethically Sourced
- Sustainable as we use products derived from plants such as Essential oils, and Coconut and Rapeseed wax which is renewable and environmentally freindly.
Sustainability
Here at Aromachology Studios we are immensely proud of our efforts of sustainability. We believe in the three R's, and as such our products are:
Refillable - Simply send us your empty candle jars and we will refill them for your in any scent at a discounted price, Contact us to find out more.
Re-usable - If you don't want to refill your jar, you could always repurpose the containers and turn them into other things. Our packaging bags can be repurposed for gift bags, crafting or other ideas.
Recyclable - All of our containers and packaging are fully recyclable and can be placed in your recycle bin.​​
